Our practice is a training/teaching practice for doctors who wish to specialise in family medicine. Our registrars are fully qualified and have a great deal of hospital experience.
Registrars are attached to our practice for 6 to 12 months as part of their general practice training and are supervised by one of the partners.
When booking an appointment you may be asked if you would consult with one of our trainees.
We also take fifth year and final year medical students from Keele University. Their placement in our general practice is to help them further develop their consultation skills including history taking and examination. They are attached to the practice for 15 weeks and are supervised by one of the partners.
When booking an appointment the receptionists may offer you an appointment with the medical student. This is a half hour appointment 20 minutes with the medical student and a 10 minute joint appointment with the student and the supervising doctor.
